Pensions, a good deal for not (too) expensive accommodation in French Polynesia
Polynesia is not just about luxury hotels on stilts. There is also a lot of simpler and more affordable accommodation, where the atmosphere is also more family and very warm.
Liberty forever
Ah! I like the Liberty wreck in Bali. I go back regularly dive, never tired. She is so beautiful...
Do you dream of going to Polynesia? Me too
My first trip to Polynesia in 2012 made me want to go back (sigh). But the plane ticket is not given and given the duration of the flight, it is better to have a little time in front of you. Here are some practical information to remember.
Diving in Lombok: Sekotong Bay
Going to a tropical island far from everything is good. But to immerse yourself in a tropical sea is better ... For me, happiness is under water! This time, it's happening in Lombok, Indonesia, near Bali ...

Divers under supervision in Sipadan

March 2013. Bangka Island, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. My new home, for a few days, is called Coral Eye. What a beautiful name!
Diving in Raja Ampat: How to Plan the Trip of a Lifetime
Raja Ampat (Indonesia) is where I've done some of the best diving of my life. But tourism, which is booming on these islands, is jeopardizing their seabed and exceptional biodiversity.
Thirteen takeoffs and thirteen landings
Alor and Raja Ampat: two distant archipelagos in Indonesia. I am back from it. I reconstructed in video my itinerary ... Total: 13 planes!

The Best Seat on The Plane
Sometimes you can choose your seat on the plane. Dilemma : is it better to sit in the front, or in the middle, or at the back of the aircraft?
Facebook on a trip
I've just launched a Facebook page - Petites Bulles d'Ailleurs. A page dedicated to this blog, separate from my personal profile. I've developed a taste for Facebook on my travels and between trips. It's really handy for keeping in touch with people I've met along the way.
AirAsia soon in France
It's probably the company I've taken most often, with all my travels in Southeast Asia! In this month of October 2009, AirAsia, the Malaysian lowcost airline, has just submitted a request for authorization to operate in France.

Koh Lipe, heads and tails
Farewell Koh Lipe! I left the island and my bamboo bungalow on Sunrise Beach this morning, reluctantly. Despite a few disappointing dives, Koh Lipe is really pretty and deserves a relaxing stay of a few days.
Preparations but not too much
Are you the type to plan everything before you leave, or to improvise as you go along? I tend to fall into the second category. In a week's time, I'll be in Thailand. I haven't planned or booked much, apart from the essentials: plane tickets, a room in Bangkok so I don't have a hard time arriving in the evening, and a diving cruise in the Similan Islands.
My little technomad computer
I've fallen for a netbook. Yes, one of those cheap, lightweight mini-laptops. When I backpack in Asia, I usually leave without my MacBook Pro.
