Admire this cute shrimp, bravely looking me straight in the eye to make sure it's doing a good job on my cuticles, softened by a long immersion in 28°C tropical salt water...
I photographed her during one of my dives in Bali, near Tulamben. A dive for the "little one", at a cleaning station, as we say in our diving jargon.

The fish - especially moray eels and big red groupers, during this dive - come to this type of site to get rid of their parasites and dirt by the nice shrimp, hard to the task.
These brave little crustaceans are not too particular about the scales they are presented with. The cleaning shrimps come willingly to work on the nails of humans ...
Just reach out your hand, put your fingers on the sand and don't move. Hop, the shrimp dance begins! They run their tiny paws all over the surface of your nails, insisting in the corners, spotting and erasing the tiniest imperfections. High-precision work...
The most motivated divers even take off their regulator for a few seconds (the thing you put in your mouth to breathe) to present their mouths wide open, like groupers, to the hard-working shrimps. There are often one or two, more daring, who then launch into an underwater scaling, quite comical to observe... And which stops as soon as the regulator is put back in place (one has to breathe again).
Ladies, I can't recommend you enough to try the shrimp manicure during your next swim in the tropical sea ...

In my plate, I will have a "different" look on the shrimps, and will I still want to eat them? 🙁 It is beautiful this shrimp which was invited to the feast of these fingers, nicely colored, graceful, it looks like a sea bird! Bravo for the photo! 😉

In dentist version, keep the jaws tight, otherwise there is a risk that it crunch.
I love the feel of their little paws on my hand... never had the courage to test the teething!
