After my Malaysian escapade in the summer of 2006 to the northeastern tip of Borneo (Sipadan Island), I feel like dipping my flippers in the Celebes Sea again. A little further east, this time: on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. Aiming precisely at North Sulawesi.

The area is known for its exceptional diving sites. To the west, the island of Bunaken and its archipelago, which form a protected maritime park; to the east, the Strait of Lembeh; North, Bangka island, and much more offshore, Gangga island.

I browse the websites in search of information and North Sulawesi is obviously worth a visit. But so is the south of the island! There are fantastic excursions to make in the countryside and the rice fields around Rantepao, country of the people Toraja...

For the moment, let's dream, while waiting for the July vacations. The dreams before the departure are also part of the trip!
