I suck at self-promotional teasing! I should have talked about it earlier here: two of my articles were published on February 15, 2009 in dimanche Ouest-France. They are two subjects inspired by trips I've already told you about, to the Dominican Republic and Bali.

The warmth of the welcome in the Dominican Republic is very real. Big, beaming smiles everywhere, from the staff of the big tourist hotels we visited to the people we met outside.

Before this press trip to the Dominican Republic, I had never tested the so-called "todo incluido" or "all inclusive" or "all inclusive" formulas. Now, I know, and that kind of thing, even stuffed with stars, it's not for me.

Sunday, a visit to the capital, Santo Domingo. I was delighted to see Cathedral Square again, with its shady benches and the terrace of the Hotel El Conde.

I don't know where to begin this new post. We've been made to do so much in so few days! The purpose of this press trip is to highlight activities other than pure "farniente" in the Dominican Republic.

This press trip to the Dominican Republic is off to a flying start. The days are so busy, I haven't even found the time to write a post yet! Here are a few images in the meantime.

I'm a lucky girl. I'm going on another trip soon! Not to Asia this time. I'm flying west, across the Atlantic to the Caribbean. Destination: the Dominican Republic.
