The Philippines at the 2008 diving show
Small taste of the Philippines, at the diving show in Paris, where I went for a ride this weekend ...
In the middle of the exhibition, a huge stand and a group of musicians: the Philippines are the "guest of honor" destination of this 10th edition. I picked up brochures and various documentations.
This Parisian escapade allowed me to meet Marie Ange and HelenaI've been corresponding with her on the internet for several months, through forums and blogs... It was a great pleasure to finally be able to discuss in person, after so many exchanges on the web.
The pleasure was all mine Corinne!!!... It's always great to meet your readers, especially when you feel “in tune”. I'm off to the Red Sea, and you to the Philippines, on the same dates. See you on our respective blogs to discover these two destinations. I can't wait to read your description of the Philippines!
Have a nice trip…
Marie Ange
Hello Corinne,
It was also a great pleasure to meet you at the show ... The feeling was more than good! O)
For my part, it will be the maldives in 3 weeks! I promise to think of you two from there! : O)
Well, I don't have a blog, but plongeur.com will do to add a little extra CR.
Bring back some nice memories, and hello to the Zebus from me!
Helena
To Marie-Ange and Hélène:
Bon voyage to you both too! The nudibranchs and the sharks better watch out, with all those flashbulbs going off.
😉
See you soon !
Hi Corinne,
It's been a few months since I discovered your blog (during my 6-month trip to Southeast Asia where I got hooked on diving, I was already hooked on travel, here I am with two viruses, damn!).
Anyway, as I'm in Paris, I thought I'd check out the dive show in January. Hence my question: is it worth it? Often at this kind of show, there's a lot of equipment vendors, or even that...
Have a good day!
Fabrice
@Fabrice: Glad you feel good about my blog and coming back! 🙂
I'm not a dive show “regular”, I've only been once. I don't know yet whether I'll make the trip in January for the 2010 show. But if I were in Paris, I'd certainly take a look around.
It's worth a visit if you're looking for information on tourist services and want to find out what's new in diving equipment. There are a lot of equipment vendors, it's true, but above all there are a lot of tour operators and tour operators, and a lot of associations.
But above all, it lets you meet people “in real life”, which I think is a real plus.
It's true, I'd probably go there!
have a good day!
Fabrice
