Indonesia : Alor + Halmahera + Sumbawa – July 2018

Diving trip in Indonesia. On the program: current and coral in profusion, on the bottom of the islands of Alor, Sali Kecil in the southwest of Halmahera, and Sumbawa in the west of the Komodo National Park.

A manta ray evolves peacefully in the current, indifferent to our bubbles. (Gili Banta, West Komodo, Indonesia, July 2018)

Diving at The Foot of Volcanoes in Sumbawa

Near Bali, Indonesia, Sumbawa Island and its volcanoes offer a fantastic variety of dives. From manta rays to nudibranchs, the underwater world is full of wonders...
A magnificent gorgon "overflown" by a cloud of anthias. (Sali Kecil, Halmahera, Indonesia, July 2018)

Sali Kecil, another part of the world in Indonesia

Fancy Indonesia? I will take you diving in the waters of Sali Kecil, a remote little island on the west coast of Halmahera. Magnificent!
End of dive, the boat comes to pick up us! (Alor, Indonesia, July 2018)

Everyone into the Water in Alor!

In July 2018, I returned to dive in the waters of Indonesia's Alor archipelago to explore its splendid coral reefs... often swept away by furious currents!
The dugong swims in shallow water, its main activity being to feed on the sea grass meadows in the bay. (Alor, Indonesia, July 2018)

    A Strange Mermaid Called Dugong

It is called dugong or "sea cow". I was lucky enough to watch this fascinating animal in its natural environment, in Alor, Indonesia.
