Thai stopover in Koh Tao
I went back to take a look at Jansom Bay, on Koh Tao. A nice little cove, that I liked, which is already in the process of transformation...
Koh Tao changes
The Churee CharmThe resort at Jansom Bay Beach has built new bungalows on the rocks.
[See photos of my previous stays in Koh Tao: right here and the.]
Fortunately, they had the good idea to make them out of wood with a roof of palms, that doesn't disfigure the whole too much. But still, I liked them better without anything on them, me, these rocks...
Elsewhere on the island, there are lots of new buildings too. Koh Tao is changing at full speed!
Cape Town on Malaysia
Between two motorcycle rides in the island, I took the time to book my train ticket to go down to the Malaysian border.
Departure on Wednesday 28th: boat from Koh Tao to Chumphon in the early afternoon, then night train to Songai Kolok, the border town, in the morning.
To be continued!
🙂
Down with mass tourism!
Oh no!!! This beautiful little island we love!!!! Don't talk about it anymore, by saying it's beautiful, everyone will go there and it won't be beautiful anymore!!!!
Ah ... the Charm Churee ... Memories, memories ... Thank you for the photo!
Have a nice trip to Malaysia, enjoy these few days in Koh Tao ... Kisses!
We're not quite at the stage of mass tourism on Koh Tao yet, it's not Phuket, but at the rate things are going, there's cause for concern...
It does something to me too, and yet I'd only seen them in photos, those naked grey rocks...
