{"id":145,"count":27,"description":"<a href=\"\/en\/raja-ampat\/\"><strong>Raja Ampat<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"\/en\/triton-bay\/\"><strong>Triton Bay<\/strong><\/a>, two exceptional dive spots in eastern Indonesia, are located in <strong>West Papua<\/strong>. Between the Indian and Pacific Oceans, this term historically refers to the immense territory annexed by Indonesia in the 1960s: the western half of the island of New Guinea, formerly colonized by the Dutch.\n\nThis territory is now administratively divided into several Indonesian provinces.\n\nThe one to which the Raja Ampat archipelago belongs is now named <em>Papua Barat Daya<\/em>. The one on which the Triton Bay area depends has kept the name of <em>Papua Barat<\/em> (West Papua).
