Since I've been in Siquijor, I've been diving and snorkelling every day... Yesterday, our guide, Neal, took us to discover the depths of Salagdoong Beach, a beach I'd already explored on the \"land\" side during my trip to Siquijor. motorcycle ride<\/a> last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The dive is done along a small sloping drop-off, where coral groves alternate with sandy passages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There's a lot of life here. I gorge myself on nudibranchs, those colorful little sea slugs that make a great subject for macro photography. \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I even caught two of them copulating! To see nudibranchs mating, it's not a common sight...<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also saw the much sought after Mandarin fish<\/em>I saw a small orange and blue fish, but so shy that I did not have time to try to take a picture of it... It quickly went back to hiding under the coral when I approached it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maybe I'll have more luck this afternoon, with the house-reef<\/em> from the Kiwi dive center, the reef just off the beach, which I haven't explored yet. Neal has promised me more mandarin fish... We'll see!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Between the dives, the motorcycle rides, the tricycle rides in Larena (where there is the internet center that allows me to publish some posts on the blog) and the naps in the hammock, I really don't see the time passing... I'm heading on Monday to Dumaguete and Dauin, on Negros Island, just across the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
