The plane lands in Sandakan. Here I am in Borneo! The airport is tiny. I quickly get my bag, buy a coupon at the cab counter at the exit and go directly to Sepilok<\/strong>a few kilometers away, where the Orangutan Rehabilitation Center is located.

\nI plan to spend only one night at the Jungle Resort<\/a>, spotted on the internet, close to the center.<\/p>\n

As much as the garden in the middle of which is the aforementioned resort is splendid, with wooden footbridges, cute pond and luxuriant tropical vegetation maintained with care, as much my room at 50RM is basic of basic... The contrast is violent, when one disembarks from the luxurious Peruti Pacific, it is sure!<\/p>\n

No matter, I came for the monkeys. It is 11 am. That gives me time to rest a bit and have a nice lunch before the orangutans' lunch time, at 3pm.<\/p>\n
