We agree on this: every trip generates a salutary, inspiring and fertile shock. Shock of cultures, of habits, of sensations... Shock more or less destabilizing, but which always stimulates the senses and the mind. And it also gives us, I believe, the exhilarating sensation of living more strongly, more intensely.<\/p>\n<p>These are the kind of thoughts we exchanged via screens in the beginning. Without knowing each other. And yet we had the unsettling feeling of having a twin sister on the other side of the Atlantic... Not to mention our identical addiction to our little technological toys, to connect everywhere in the world!<\/p>\n<h2>In real life<\/h2>\n<p>Since then, we have met <em>\"in real life\"<\/em> as they say on the web <em>(IRL)<\/em>. The first time was in Montreal, where she lives, in November 2009. Marie-Julie came to pick me up at the airport and inflicted on me <a href=\"https:\/\/petitesbullesdailleurs.fr\/en\/une-poutine-a-montreal-20090928\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a poutine<\/a> (and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.entransit.ca\/2009\/10\/sur-le-vif-une-bretonne-%C3%A0-montr%C3%A9al.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a note<\/a> in his blog <em>In transit<\/em>) to celebrate!!<\/p>\n<p>The second time was in Rennes, where I live, last May. It was one of the stopover cities of her \"girls' trip to France\" for <a href=\"http:\/\/2010.espadrillesetchampagne.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Espadrilles and Champagne<\/a>.
