I like this Anglo-Saxon expression. Overseas:<\/em> literally \"beyond the seas, overseas\". To understand: \"elsewhere, abroad\".<\/p>\n

A promise of other continents and distant horizons. The more I am caught up in daily life, the more I dream ofoverseas<\/em>. Always, this irresistible desire for elsewhere...<\/p>\n

I promise, I will come back to tell you about Asia, very soon. From my last escapade, in July, I still have to tell you about my island stay in Derawan, off Borneo, in the Celebes Sea. And then to edit my underwater videos shot in Sipadan...<\/p>\n

But since my return, at the end of July, another overseas<\/em> trots in my head.<\/p>\n

A still vague project. I was hoping to make it happen in the spring, maybe. And then, a miraculous and unexpected free time slot appeared in my September schedule, at the very end of the month. Ah, there, there... How could I resist?<\/p>\n

So here it is: I decided to cross a new ocean, to go across the Atlantic. Destination? Montreal!<\/p>\n

\"-\"<\/a>E-ticket booked on Corsair<\/a>, found with the excellent search engine Partirou.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

All I have to do now is read the travel guide Montreal<\/em><\/a> from the Quebec publisher Ulysses<\/a>. thanks to Pascal<\/a>for his advice on the subject, always wise. And to think that I still haven't found the time to dive into it... (Note that there is also a digital version to download, like the Lonely Planet<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

Anyway, for once, I don't take my diving equipment with me and I fly to the West instead of heading to the East!<\/p>\n

A first for me. I have never set foot on the American continent before. The two times I took a transatlantic flight, I stopped just before, In the Caribbean<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In Montreal, I'm going to visit some friends, who are living there for a year. And I hope to finally meet, \"in real life\", my colleague Marie-Julie Gagnon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

No bubbles in the forecast, therefore, for this Canadian week. But new discoveries, a change of scenery of another kind. An American and urban trip in French-speaking countries, which promises to be fascinating.<\/p>\n

How I love to feel that little trepidation inside, that excitement that is reborn with each new travel project. It's more than impatience. An irrepressible desire to go and see elsewhere... overseas<\/em>.<\/p>\n
