Diving at Raja Ampat... A dream. But beware, a trip to Raja Ampat requires that you behave as a responsible visitor. Tourism, which is booming in this archipelago, is threatening one of the most magnificent reservoirs of biodiversity on the planet.

Indonesia: Bangka [Sulawesi] + Rao [Halmahera] + Raja Ampat [Papua] – July 2019
One month diving trip in three stages, in the east of the Indonesian archipelago. First stop, the quiet little island of Bangka, in North Sulawesi. Second exploration, far from the beaten tourist tracks: the island of Rao, opposite Morotai, in the north of Halmahera (North Moluccas). And finally a new stay on the island of Kri, in the magnificent archipelago of Raja Ampat, in West Papua.
I'm way behind in my posts, and I haven't yet uploaded any articles about this trip (aside from the general Raja Ampat article below, which compiles info from several previous trips). In the meantime, to get a little glimpse of this new Indonesian journey in July 2019, you can review below the Instagram stories I had posted as I went along:
