Coral

Gorgon Giant at Misool. (Raja Ampat, West Papua, Indonesia, November 2015.)

In The Heart of The Coral Triangle

Here, there are swarms of sparkling fish and a jumble of multicoloured corals... I take you diving in the waters of Misool, in the south of Raja Ampat.

Do you know coral wine?

Before landing at Rangiroa to dive, in October 2012, I was completely unaware that it was producing ... wine! It seems incredible, but yes, we cultivate the vine in full Pacific, in the Polynesian archipelago of Tuamotu.

Fluo diving: psychedelic diving

At night, the reefs are not gray. A blue light and an orange mask reveal the fluorescence of corals and underwater creatures.

Bora Bora from the sky. Polynesia, October 2012.

Huge French Polynesia

Five archipelagos with 118 islands and atolls, scattered in the Pacific, on a vast territory like Europe ... Polynesia is just huge!

(Tubbataha, Philippines, May 2018)

The Beauty of Tubbataha

In the Philippines, Tubbataha Marine National Park is open only three months per year. It is an underwater jewel, with exuberant coral and abundant life below the waves.
Philippines : Tubbataha + Panglao - May 2018
Diving in the Red Sea. Hamata, Egypt, November 2011.

The color of the coral

The Red Sea is blue, that's understood. But below the surface, the colors explode! Red, yellow and pink corals, photogenic as possible!
Egypt: Hamata - Red Sea - November 2011
The acanthasters roll in a ball at the end of the hook. (Tioman, Malaysia, July 2006)

Coral mission in the Philippines with Tara and the Sulubaaï Foundation

Tara. This is the name of an extraordinary boat, an oceanographic schooner sailing the Pacific Ocean to study coral. I embarked in February 2018 with the scientists for a media report in the Philippines...

Temple Garden, an underwater temple created by Gardeners of Pemuteran Reef. (Bali, Indonesia, July 2008.)

Pemuteran: baby turtles, underwater temple and electric coral

I have been in Pemuteran, a small village in western Bali, since Tuesday. I love it! Here, the entire population is focused on the conservation of the coral reef.

End of dive, the boat comes to recover us! (Alor, Indonesia, July 2018)

Everyone in the water at Alor!

It was last summer, in July 2018. I was back diving in the waters of the Alor archipelago in Indonesia, to explore its gorgeous coral reefs... often swept by crazy currents!
